These pictures were taken in 1993 when I was working in Lahore for one year. This static line-up was to be seen at the Lahore air base where the yearly air show was organised this time. The actual air show consisted of just one Mirage and one F-7 (Chinese Mig-21) flying by only a couple of times. Shortage of aviation fuel, spare parts and a defence budget under strain were the immediate causes for this.The two images of the F-86 were taken on Mall Road, the main road in Lahore, opposite Lahore Museum, just in case you would be in the neighbourhood ...
