Fairey Battle

The following images were taken at the
Brussels Air Museum and kindly provided by Erwin de Swaef.

Erwin  also provided the following summary about this particular aircraft:

"In the interbellum the Belgian Army acquired 16 Fairey Battles. Their home base was Evere near Brussels. These bombers all belonged to the 5/III/3 Aé and were already obsolete by the time of the German invasion in May 1940. This one is being restored by volunteers of the museum and of the 20th wing of the Belgian Airforce".
